Buckshaw Village, Chorley

LMP Architectural Consultants acted on behalf of the development consortium for Buckshaw Village in Chorley providing conceptual and technical designs from inception to construction for a new village centre.

The project involved the comprehensive redevelopment of a former munitions factory which will eventually comprise of 1500 dwellings, conversion of two Grade II listed buildings, bus routes, integrated transport links including roads, cycle networks and a new railway station.

There was also an emphasis on eco-friendly construction including sustainable urban drainage systems, and the inclusion of leisure facilities.
